It was built around 1839 as a fulling mill that was owned by the Penrhyn Estate which is locally known as Pandy. Hence the name Pandy Mill & Falls. Then, in 1894, the mill was converted into a woollen mill by the leaseholder, Hannah Jones, and her sons.
